Frequently Asked Questions

What is Model United Nations?

MUN is a simulation of the United Nations, aiming to get students to research and debate world issues. MUN conferences are organized by students for students, who undertake various organizational roles. Students get a chance to socialize with peers, learn about the UN and its goals, and improve their public-speaking and debate skills.

Is this year’s conference going to take place online?

Due to the global pandemic that we are facing, this year’s conference will take place online to ensure the health and safety of all participants.

Is there a dress code?

Although our conference is going to be held online, participants are still required to dress appropriately. We believe the dress code helps getting a true feel of the authentic MUN experience.

Can beginners participate?

We encourage all aspiring delegates to apply, regardless of their level of experience. We will be hosting delegate and STOFF workshops to prepare everyone for the conference, so by the time the conference comes, everyone will be prepared.

You can find all the photos, videos and articles from the conference on the sbmbnu.blog website.
